racism

When we look upon the inconceivable evils which have occurred throughout the existence of the human race we discover something fascinating. The root cause of these evils was the pure animosity towards another fellow human being, and having absolutely no regard for their life, property, and family. This hatred which humans have exposed to one another has been a wicked and shameful portion of our history, but hatred has its roots too. Hatred is a product of a much larger phenomenon, which is racism. Most people perceive racism to be the belief that one's own race is superior to all others. This particular ideology has resulted in humans committing mass genocide, rape, and the social restrictions on certain races. It is incumbent on us to further expand our knowledge on the instigating disease of hatred known has racism.
In the 19th century, it was apparent to scientists that human populations reside in different geographical locations and are divided into separate races. However certain figures such as Adolph Hitler, and the leaders of the confederate movement in the south used this fact to justify the belief that some races are inferior to one another, and that it was appropriate to treat other races differently than you would treat your own.  They also held the belief of a “Master Race,” which held the philosophy that the white race was superior in genetics to all other races.

As a word, racism is an "ism", a belief that is described by a word ending in the suffix -ism, pertaining to race. The term racism itself did not appear in the English language until the 1930’s. It was first used as the term racialism in which means for a particular race to be superior. After World War II the term racism had negative connotations attached to it, which implied harmful intent, and discrimination.

Sadly when we look around different parts of the world today we don’t see everyone together in harmony singing kumbaya, and embracing one another regardless of their differences in skin pigments. But we see the opposite, we see humans who lack even an atom’s worth of empathy towards other humans who go through the same struggles, just because they are not similar in their outward appearance.
Racism entails that each and every race has its own specific traits and capacities, meaning if you are from race A you do not encompass all of the capabilities and traits of race B, which has resulted in racial stereotypes.  It also suggests that superior races have better understanding and are more knowledgeable than inferior races. This has led to many individuals of different races being denied jobs by being judged on the intellectual capability based on their racial origin.

The theory of racism resulted in the segregation of races in different parts of the world, such as South Africa, India, and the U.S.  The opinion was held that the superior races needed separate and higher quality facilities than the inferior race. Inferior races were forced to live in neighborhoods specified for their particular race in order to keep order.
Racists belief that they deserve better for being who they are. They believe that since birth they attained superiority and are better than the rest of humanity. For them it is acceptable to beat, ridicule, and murder members of an inferior race because they have been born into a lower “less deserving race.”

This nonsensical ideology has caused the deaths of countless individuals and ruined the lives of many more. But by attaining a better understanding of the term we can as humans realize the idiotic concept of racism , because we as humans regardless of race scientifically have the same capabilities and are not to be judged by our skin but by the content of our character.
