how to build a restaurant revision

Remarkably, one in four Americans eat out daily. In USA weekly Statistics show that consumers are more inclined to dine out and take prepared food home as opposed to arranging their own meals.  In this day and age running a restaurant can have great benefits, if done efficiently it can be extremely profitable. But before you open a restaurant it is necessary to have the proper concept and financial planning in mind for your potential restaurant. In order to achieve success in building and maintaining a restaurant business, it is necessary to adhere to these fundamental steps, Developing a theme, finding a location, secure funding, finding a supply market, hire a staff, go through a health department inspection, and advertise.
THEME
When you are beginning to develop the intention of building a restaurant, keep in mind that it is necessary to have a theme according to your preference. You should have an idea of what type of food you will serve, what you want your atmosphere to be like, and what kind of patrons you will be most likely catering towards.
FIND A LOCATION
Afterwards it is up to you to find a location of your preference. Keep in mind that location is by far the most important step in building a restaurant business, it can be a great advantage if located next to major grocery stores and outlets, for there will be a much more variety of customers that will be interested in coming to your restaurant. So take much precaution when figuring out the final location for your restaurant. Now that you have your location in mind, you have to think about whether you are going to buy the property or rent it. Buying will give you a chance to increase your profitability by a large amount, but you take a risk of being stuck with a property that doesn’t attract many customers. If you rent the property you have the ability to switch when you have the need to increase profits
SECURE FUNDING
Once you have determined the location for your restaurant you should start to secure funding, and develop a budget for startup costs. If you do not have the appropriate amount of money to contribute to your restaurant then you can always use small business loans used by many successful business owners. Once you start up the restaurant and start maintaining a profit you can gradually pay back your loan.
CHOOSE SUPPLY OUTLET.
Now it is necessary to consider which outlet you will purchase kitchen items from. Make sure to get every single tool you need or you will come up short when it is time to prepare food for customers. You will have to start up with the necessary cooking tools such as ovens, stoves, freezers and eating utensils. Choose a supplier which suits your restaurant’s needs in food and beverage. You can choose different foods from different suppliers, but it can get a little hectic because the staff needs to check the food coming in from different days and stock them up in the freezer.  Remember to choose foods that will be needed in your recipe for your specific cuisine.
HIRE A STAFF
Next you must hire a staff. Hire employees that are trustworthy and are educated to a level of your preference, and which suits their capability in their profession. When looking for chefs hire the ones that are knowledgeable and talented in cooking the appropriate cuisine of the restaurant. When looking for waiters find people who have a good attitude and a sociable personality. You don’t want the customers running away from terrible service.
GET AN INSPECTION FROM THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT>
Later, Set up an appointment with the local health department and go through an inspection. They will check everything in order to make sure there are no hazards for your potential customers. They will check the cleanliness of your restaurant, making sure the workers wear gloves while they prepare food. They will also check to see if the washing hands reminder poster is posted on the bathroom walls. Once you have passed and have become licensed, it is time to advertise.
             ADVERTISE
You now have to put the effort in to advertise and market your restaurant. You can have the best food and service, but if you don’t put the effort in to market your business you will see a huge loss in profit. You can put flyers around your city, make a website, or pay stores to put up a small advertisement box on their counters. Your main focus should always be on the public, if they are not pleased with something then you must change it because it is they’re preference which makes you the money.

It can be rough when you are first trying to build a restaurant out of scratch and being confused of where to begin, but if you carefully follow these fundamental guidelines of how to go about building a restaurant, it will ensure you to be successful in building and maintaining a restaurant business.
